on 2.5 hours of sleep, after shepherding a pack of extremely drunk (and in some cases remorseful as well, though perhaps not until later when the clear light of day brought things into focus) people through the warrens and back alleys of an unnamed major American city at 4:30 in the morning, not that I mind doing that, especially since I was the only one who had the sense to have a hat, and boy goddamn was it raining, and I should have had the courtesy to give (or at least lend) the hat to one or more of the female members of the retinue, as any REAL gentleman of course would have done, but then there would have been the issue of favoritism, real or percieved (it doesn't matter which) to deal with, and it was late or early depending on your perspective of how a night passes into morning and there were hotels and taxis to get people to and they were clearly out of their element, so somebody had to do it . So I did.

What a guy, huh?
