1. What on earth is this?
Maybe a bit more information about the schools, your plans, etc.?

3. Not asking what college to go to specifically, but...
the post is asking which state will have the best funding for education in the next 4 years. I graduated from college 2 years ago a from a state university. During the 4 years I went to college tuition went up over 50%. This is a very good question.

2. Um. That doesn't matter if you're not going to a public university.
And if you ARE planning to go to a public university, California has better ones than any of those states, and it's closer to New Mexico, too.

4. Didn't New Mexico Tech get into Princeton Review
for being the number 2 value in the nation? Like, right behind BATES?

5. I would look into other states as well
I voted for Washington because they had some hard times not long ago, but I think the political situation with higher ed has improved since Washington's numbers have been going up.

I work at a state university in Illinois. As much as I wish I convince one to come here (we have very good schools and libraries), our governor has an adversarial position about higher ed since he has been slashing and burning at higher ed's peril and since he attended all private schools. He's a Dem too, which makes his positions worse.
