How come Condoleeza Rice
has never been married? Doesn't she believe in family values? And is she a virgin? Is she gay? Just wondering.

1. You missed one and rather rare these days
she just might not be interested in anyone male or female.

4. Yeah, but if she really supported families
she would find it her duty to marry and have children. And she believes in God, who told Adam & Eve to be fruitful and multiply.

5. She's not exactly a warm person
She warned there could be a mushroom cloud in the U.S. within 45 minutes ordered by Hussein. You want to marry such a fool?

6. Most highly successful
women are either unmarried, or if married, are childless.

Having a full-time demanding career is not compatible with traditional wife and mother roles.

Okay, so some high-achieving women marry and have children, but notice how many of them have only one child.

8. Sheila, you're right, and I personally full support a woman's
right to choose whether or not to marry, and whether or not to have children. (Too many unwanted children in the world already). The point of my post was that most conservatives have the view that it is the destiny of all women to marry and reproduce. Which make Rice a hypocrit.

9. Oh, okay.
Sometimes I miss sarcasm or irony in various posts.

Although I might want to point out that accusing Republicans/Conservatives/Fundamentalists of hypocrisy is, I dunno, like accusing the sky of being blue, or of rain being wet.

I long ago learned that the groups named above are consummate hypocrites.

Buck-toothed, hair-helmeted humorless lying sociopath? Nobody (except possibly W) is that hard up...

13. Republicans usually aren't into black chicks, and guys are threatened.

I'm kind of irritated with all the "look at her" replies...all manner of "unattractive" people get married (Dick Cheney and Mary Matalin stand out). How ridiculous and totally supportive of the theory that all men care about is looks--even though they could look like John Bolton and still get some woman to sleep with them.

1--It's not like her neo-con peers (read: slimy Wolfowitz, yucky Cheney, etc.) are going to "race mix". Plus, I'm thinking she's not hot for that crew--crusty old guys, generally not cute. She has possibly alienated those politically opposed to her, though she may be able to do a Carville/Matalin thing.

2--Men are threatened by strong, successful women. It is very difficult to find a boyfriend when you're the Secretary of State or NSA. What's she going to do, start dating construction workers?
