The IRS cashed my check in record time...!!!

I sent my return in on Wednesday 4/13.

The check was cashed 4/18, just two business days...that is a record.

Wow...they must really need that cash to pay Halliburton.

3. to be honest I am okay with it to some degree

I know I owed and I transferred money to cover the check and the sooner it is cashed the happier I am to have my checkbook balance..I am really spastic about those things...

However I think it had to be the fastest check cashing I have experienced with the government.

4. I heard on the radio some strategies for slowing it down

There's a fellow who uses magnets to demagnetize the MICR strips on the checks, so they spit out for manual processing.

6. Actually, all your checks are clearing faster...

... since the law on bank-to-bank electronic clearing went through last October (I think it was October).
