I've been through a lot, but I think this is the first time I've had stomach pain due to stress.

2. to the point of stomach surgery

Like John Candy said in Stripes..

I tend to swallow a lot of aggression.. along with a lot of pizzas.

I've had GERD and acid reflux for about 15 years before finally getting some surgery at the Mayo clinic in Jax for it. I really should have had the surgery a while ago but since the procedure (nissin fundoplicatoin) i've been heartburn free, going on about two and a half years now.

I have been on every acid reducer/blocker made, and the very best one is Nexium. As far as liquid antacids go, Gaviscon is also the best as it floats on top of whatever is in your stomach. Get the gaviscon liquid, the tablets are just nasty.

The procedure also corrected a hiatal hernia about the size of a golf ball.

It comes out as physical pain in the form of clenched stomach and lack of eating... suckola. I'm glad you're doing better, though.

15. Ruh-roh. I just had an ultrasound on my stomach today

I think everything has caught up with me since 2000. Bush election, 911, a car accident, going bankrupt, 2004 elections, money worries, health worries, sucky jobs, living in Florida. Some days I feel ok, but today I got stomach acid and pain like you wouldn't believe. The thought of returning to my shitty job makes me feel worse.

We're a nation of rolaid and tums poppers and Malox swivlers.
