2. I'll take a rain check.
I'm kind of wiped out.

The next time, though. :-)

5. Yeah, I'm pretty wiped today too.
I was just thinking of a quick beer before I hop on the train.

Next time.

8. You can drink on the train.
Especially on Friday.

You can get one to go at the bar on the NW corner of Randolph and Michigan, on the lower level. It's some kind of sports bar, I forget the name.

Before they started remodelling the train station, there was a bar down there. They would stack up cans of beers in an individual paper bag. You grabbed a beer and tossed a dollar in a big bucket. You were on the honor system. It was great. Nothing tastes as good as honor system beer. Except free beer.

3. I am such a milquetoast these days, I swear.
No, and here's why.

I'm going over to a friend's house tonight, possibly to write a song, possibly to play poker.

So I need to hop aboard that train at 4:35, so that I can get home and change clothes and go to the club an work out. I need to do that in order to allow myself to go out later tonight. Because if I went out after work for a drink, I'd probably get home and fall asleep.

Getting old is a lot of work.

6. Oh. Yeah. I got it.
Been here about a month so far, and I'm loving it. I work with some very cool people. Pretty relaxed atmosphere, too.
