By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - President Bush is celebrating Earth Day with one of his favorite past-times — working the land.

The president, who often is at odds with environmentalists, was scheduled to celebrate their holiday on Friday in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. He was to speak at the Cades Cove area near Townsend, Tenn., after some quick restoration work on one of more than a dozen trails that originates there.

"I'm looking forward to getting my hands dirty,"...

Two things I wanted to say here. Numbero Uno. Dude, those of us on the left KNOW you like getting your hands dirty. With that free license to do whatever the fuck you want to do, legal or illegal, ethical or not ethical, we know.

Secondly, I wanted to point out that I didn't change the wording. That really is the way Yahoo worded the title of this article. I couldn't resist. Hmm, I wonder just *how* he is marking it??? I can just see some poor tree either getting a fire hydrant view of Bush cocking his leg or getting chopped down. I'm not sure which is more likely with the way they phrased the title of this Yahoo news story.
