My Buddy that got injured in Iraq....
Edited on Fri Apr-22-05 12:19 AM by NamVetsWeeLass
don't know if you guys recall me posting about a close friend that got injured in Iraq or not, But I was up home over the weekend...

The Report is that he is still in Critical Condition. That is all the news I have. I also told you all about wanting new ink over the deal... I have settled on one. I will be getting a purple heart with the name "Statz" emblazoned on it. Just updating, cause I told Skittles I would.

As I hear more, I will let you know.

2. You are both in my prayers.
I hope he pulls through, and that you can see him again soon, all in one piece.

5. I feel for you, and hope everything works out.....
...My best friend, really closer to me than a brother for over 30 years, was a career Army guy and was 2 months from retirement. He had a job set up and everything. Bush wouldn't allow him to retire, and sentenced him to a year in Iraq, to help guard convoys. He'll be there until September. The convoys he's having to guard, are supply convoys to areas where Halliburton is working. The paid "contractors", i.e. mercenaries, would no longer work those routes, because they were too dangerous. So our soldiers are now having to work those routes, not for the U.S., but for Halliburton. I'm so mad about it, I could spit bullets.

Sorry for ranting, but your post hit home, and again, I hope everything comes out good. I'm thinking about you.

6. That's what the invasion was all about.
BFEE wanted to get Haliburton in there and to them it was a sweetheart deal to get the USA to provide free security to allow Halliburton and its spinoff companies to rake in free money by the truckload. Not only was the free security worth a gold mine for Halliburton but the way BFEE spun the whole circus it made anyone who wasn't in favor of it look "unpatriotic". If you remember, Smirky's advisors all told him Saddam wasn't responsible for 09/11 but he said "let's go get him anyway". And that was a couple of hundred billion dollars ago and many needlessly lost Coalition and Iraqi lives ago. This is why I will always regard Bush, Cheney, Rummy, Powell and all the other co-conspiritors diabolical criminals of the highest order. The reality is that they are too rich and powerful to be prosecuted.
