2. FOOD!
You don't live in Wisconsin, by any chance?

(if you do or in any of those other 21 insane inbred-welcoming states, get some leashes and protect those cute adoreable (and likely not delicious) kittens from whackos too cheap to go to the amusement park's target practice game.)

6. Their mother is near by.
I believe she was born in my yard about 3 years ago. I was never able to tame her or her siblings, but I see several of them now and then. The kittens will be safe here.

Two of them let me pet them The other two just hissed.

Give them attention. Let them get to know you then they won't be feral and unadoptable.

that can help you rescue? These little babies deserve a good home, as does their mother.

11. The mother is unapproachable
but I am working on making friends with the little ones. I expect we will end up keeping one and hopefully find homes for the rest.

18. Lucky man.
I wish I could take one, but I'm too far away. Mom needs to be fixed. Most shelters will do it for free or really cheap. Call Brad or Jen and see if they want a kitten.

21. Feral kittens
need a LOT of handling to tame up. If you really want to tame them you should bring them all inside now and bottle feed them if they aren't able to eat from a bowl. Get a large cage and cover it so they will feel safe. When you interact with them lay on the floor so you are as close their level as possible. Play with them with one of those feather toys.

Chances are that now that you have found them the mother will move them and you won't be able to find them.

It too me a year to trap all the feral cats on my street. I had them all fixed and they are doing fine. My neighbor and I feed them and the colony stablized so no new cats have come around.

24. She has moved them into my garage
I have started feeding the mother. One of my favorite cats ever was a feral kitten we brought it home. She turned out great. I put a sand box in the garage and the kittens have been using it. I have been able to pet several of them a few times.

30. Terrific!
I kept two of the ferals I rescued. It took four months for one of them to let me really pet her. Now she sleeps with me and is my constant companion. She's sitting on the desk next to me right now. She's 6 years old now. Still startles easily but is a sweet and loyal little kitty. Her litter mate (not sibling, though) is Gilbey the ugliest cat in the Gallery. He is a sweet little guy, even with his facial deformities.

23. I found 2 week old feral kittens and took two of them
home. I fed them with a bottle and cuddled them constantly. They grew up to be the friendliest, sweetest cats you'd ever want to meet. People who don't like cats say they like my cats because they're so friendly and playful. One had a lot of health problems and died in 2003, but one is still with me and almost 12 years old. He is my favorite kitty in the world.

Thanks for the pictures. I hope you're successful at getting them good homes. They are TOO CUTE!

...that you can get them immunized? Cute as they are, you'd hate to see one of them get leukemia or distemper.
