I had the mother of all Freudian slips at work last night.
I was having a conversation with a much hated co-worker about something our boss told us to do. To make a long story short she said to me "I think you heard wrong." to which I was going to reply "I think you're right." What came out instead was "I think you're a piece of shit."

I played it off with a giggle and said "Uhh... my mind is somewhere else today." She looked at my with a glare and said "I guess so" then stomped off.

It was kinda funny.

1. You should've told her to stand and deliver.
Carl would've.

11. That's hysterical
When I first became a cashier at the grocery store where I work, I was a nervous wreck for my first customer and was determined to do everything right. Ring up the stuff, chat in a friendly manner, bag it up, take his money, give him change, offer a parting comment.

I did great right up to the parting comment. What came out of my mouth? "I love you."

I have no idea where it came from - it was horribly mortifying. Luckily, the guy was a regular and knew me from before my promotion so I was able to stammeringly explain (as much as something like that can be explained).

He was always very friendly after that....

12. That's great.
Sometimes I wish this would happen with me, with a few less desirable co-workers.
