Why, oh, why did they pick the cross-eyed Karen Black.....
to star in the Airport '75 movie? I'm watching it now on AMC.

Her eyes are so distracting!

1. I can't think of the womans name but she was in a few films and TV
during the 80s. She usually was in horror or sci-fi flicks like "Masters of the Universe" or "They Live" she had the weirdest eyes of any person I ever saw. She never ever blinked and it looked like her eyes never moved. You would have sworn that she was blind because all she seemed to do was stare straight ahead.

3. So it's not just me...
There are several movies she's ruined for me (Portnoy's Complaint, Day of the Locust, the Great Gatsby) because she was supposed to be glamorous, but I can't get past her eyes (and her nasty personality that comes through in these roles)... but I thought it was just me.

There was a band around for a while called "The Unspeakable Horror of Karen Black" so I had a hunch that it wasn't just my perception.

From "Dr. Bernice" by Cracker:

"On a hot desert night, the caravan stops
At the oasis next to your heart.
The soundtrack is played by some aged British queen
On BBC Radio One.
Though the wind may whisper an epic sometimes.
the cast must include Karen Black.

amyone remember Trilogy? That movie where one of the stories was about this little doll she got from Africa or somewhere that came alive and tried to kill her? She ended up trhowing it in the oven, but it still came back and got her.
