Rapper DMX Arrested in Crash of NYC Police Car
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Rapper DMX was arrested after a three-car crash involving a police cruiser on a major New York City expressway, police said on Saturday.

Police said a car driven by DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, hit another car, which then slammed into the cruiser late Friday on the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx. Two police officers were treated for minor injuries.

The 34-year-old hip-hop star was charged with driving with a suspended license and released, police said.

The driver of the first car hit was treated for minor injuries, according to local papers.

Last year, DMX was jailed for weapon and drug possession, and criminal impersonation after trying to steal a car then crashing into another vehicle through a parking lot gate at New York's Kennedy Airport.

3. And why is this news?
Somebody - who is a 'celebrity' had an accident even though he was not supposed to drive. Or was it because he had the misfortune of not hitting just any car, but hit the car in front of the police car. At least he didn't steal a car this time.

5. Of course it's propaganda
I'm sure that DMX - well whatever his real name is - is delighted that this is now #2 at http://news.google.com/?ned=us&topic=e

Because it means more sales. But it is no news at all. So why do I even bother to reply... probably out of frustration.
