UPDATE: on my beau, the commie, who was hit by a car...
As some of y'all know the commie was hit by a car bear our home last Sunday.
Well, he is home and recovering although in a lot of pain (moving like Tim Conway's little old man on the old carol Burnett show).

I want to thank you for all of your prayers, good wishes and meditations... They worked! He will be just fine.

BUT..... as this is the DU I do have something to say about the need for national health care and a compliant about the way people without insurance are treated.

I mean from neuro-ICU on Sunday thru Tuesday afternoon then home.... with little or no instruction on pain management.... what the fuck is that?!?

Once again thank you for all of your love and support.

2. I'm very glad to hear Commie is going to be alright.
I can only guess how difficult it must be for both of you, but please understand, the lact of instructions isn't isolated to people without health ins.

My best friends husband has great health insurance (that costs a fortune!). He had a pancrease transplant 5 years ago, and his wife had to litterally block the Drs in the doorway to get information about home care. The same guy was diagnosed with throat cancer 2 years ago. Same deal! Seems these specialists just don't like talking to patients!

You have to be forceful, and demand answers and if he needs pain meds, call 'em and demand a prescription!
