So, who's still working on their taxes?
I just e-filed this afternoon. Surprisingly, I'm getting quite a bit back. Good thing, too, considering I recently got laid off from my F-T job.

I guess I should have filed sooner, but I might have spent some of the money by now. I'm going to use my refund to pay for my health insurance premiums under COBRA for two months. They are really high, but I doubt I'll do better on the open market since I have so many health conditions.

Oh well, I guess things could be worse.

How's it going for you?

1. My refund is about half gone.
:scared:

I filed back in March, I should have waited until now, geez!

2. Damn about the layoff....
At least Blue-Jay is now gainfully employed and you still have your part-time gig. Any chance that the old F-T job will find some new funding.

:hi:

3. we filed at 7:45 p.m. today
we had to go to three post offices to find one that was still open. But it was sort of fun cuz everyone was so relieved to get them in under the wire that everyone was talking smart and making jokes. We decided we would all vouch for one another that we got it in the box in time.

5. I filed at about 7:10 and I really hope that they were serious
about collecting from the boxes in front of the post office at 10 tonight. There wasn't anyone around and I really didn't want to drive downtown.

I probably could have efiled, but it bothers me that you have to pay for it. If I'm "outsourcing" their data entry, why the hell should I have to pay for it?

4. Haven't even started
Filed my extension on Wednesday.

It's too depressing.

About five years ago, I almost didn't need an extension.

7. I stopped working the day after the war in Iraq started.
I wish the fuckers would have paid for it with real money. I was hoping to avoid paying the tab on this one. Now I think I made a bad decision. But the savings are gone and I need to go job hunting on Monday. Unemployment and beer, I will miss you. The navel-gazing was fantastic..

Oh, and didn't file taxes this year. (last year too)
