Sorry! Us guys are mostly @ssholes and still you are the ones who have to suffer with PMS and all the rest. Totally unfair.

Good luck! And if you do have those ovaries ripped out, please have it done by a professional!!!

12. My sympathies
My PMS went through the roof in my early twenties, exacerbated I'm sure by the Pill. Probably drove my boyfriend crazy - for 3-5 days I'd be moody, angry, impulsive, erratic, weepy, etc., but as soon as my period started all unpleasantness ended and I was a happy camper.

I found that diet helped me a lot. Eating lots of green leafies helps, and cutting back on processed foods and salt and caffeine will too. Easier said than done, but I found that if I cooked for myself and ate a lot of veggies, I could always count on a better (happier) month. Oh, yeah, and exercise too. When I began riding my bike to and from work every day my PMS practically disappeared.

Good luck. If you get any freakos who like to blame your behavior by saying things about you having your period, please educate them at length about the dynamics of PREmenstrual syndrome, which are very different from the issues involved with the monthlies themselves. They'll never say anything about it again. :-)

41. Oh, honey,
I hate to tell you this, but getting off your ass and really moving around a lot is the only thing that helps. You'll feel so much better if you get those endorphins flowing, combating the evil female hormones that are telling you to kill kill kill.

Alcohol and dope make it worse, by the way.

14. Hey don't knock it.
I am recently ovary-free on my left side. It's the process leading up to the removal that sucked ass.

I definitely empathize though. Late 20s, backache and cramps increased 100-fold. Hang in there!

serious!, have of the symptoms of PMS are dehydration...the hormones are more concentrated when you are dehydrated, also.

22. That's why there's an ignore function
for those assholes.

I'm so happy I was born with external genitalia. Ovaries and uteri are no fun, as far as I know. I just have to avoid getting kicked, which is fairly easy.

42. Our revenge comes later
After we're gloriously through menopause, and having the time of our lives, you guys begin to notice that it takes forever to pee, that you sometimes think you have to pee when you don't, and younger men won't get in line behind you in men's rooms at football games.

Your prostate slowly becomes the size of a basketball.

We then applaud.

And you still have that pesky facial hair growing every day, while that prostate is trying to achieve liftoff.

29. Girl, I've been begging my doctor to yank out my uterus
for about a year now. It's served its purpose, I don't need it anymore, it's just a pain now.

But nooooooo. He says "there's nothing wrong with it" and stupid shit like that.

Sigh.

Why am I FORCED to keep this uterus that I HATE?!?!?! WHY? It's USELESS!

Anywho, good luck to ya. I wouldn't want to lose my ovaries, though. Won't you have to go on hormones?

34. it shouldn't
I'd talk to my ob/gyn. If you can tolerate the pill, the right pill should make a big difference. I realize if you're trying to get pregnant, that isn't a very helpful suggestion, but if you're not, you could be amazed.

and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.

43. you're not getting a hysterectomy are you?
Doctors have medication for severe PMS. I've never had much myself, but I'm starting to get hot flashes, and that's no treat either. If you get a hysterectomy, you'll undergo menopause early, and that comes with a lot of hormonal mood swings.

44. I Read Your Post to My Wife, The Princess
She suggested that you get your hormone levels checked. ASAP. Hormones that are out of whack can make manic depressive symptoms much worse.

The Princess wants to know if your periods are regular, and how bad your PMS symptoms are. She fixed her hormonal problems with herbs - PM her if you want more info.
