6. I'm not being mean.
I'm being honest. It takes a real true friend to be honest.

I'll have a talk with sundog about stringing you and JimmyJazz along. He's such a flirt.

Sigh.

Here, here's a really patronizing hug:

;-)

9. i'm not either
i need to have a talk with sundog about how he doesn't want to break up with you because all your feelings of self-worth are tied up in your relationship with him. i think it's doing your psyche more harm than good, to be honest.

here's a condescending pat...

15. Oh now there's no need for that because then you would just
be forcing poor sundog into a very emotionally unhealthy place: namely having to hurt your feelings and, well, rock your entire world.

I'm truly saddened to be the one to have to tell you all this. I shall self-flagellate later to make up for it.

Here's a grry face to send you a confusing mixed message: :grr:

7. Slacker!
:P

Enjoy your midnight trip to the PO. That was always my favorite part of the procrastination ritual. Now that I have a house and get a refund, I do it early.

Hey, wouldn't you get a refund what with your little tax deduction? Ok, you really ARE a slacker. :)

10. Nope, we owe a little over $300.
Which is why I do it at the last damn minute.

I don't think they take enough out of my paycheck and I even changed it last year to include MORE withholding.

But next tax time, I will get to write off my tuition and fees, since I started graduate school this year, and that's no small chunk o' change.

20. Psst....Bouncy...
Having to pay in is no reason to wait until the last minute to do your taxes. Get the forms filled out early; just wait to MAIL them until the last minute.

Or, if you're like me, you can drop the information off with your CPA, have the stuff get buried on his desk for six weeks, and find out after hounding the office two days in a row that he FORGOT TO DO YOUR TAXES. Then you have to get angry. Then you get even more angry to find out he charged his full fee - $275 - even though he left your stuff buried FOR SIX WEEKS AND YOU COULD HAVE HAD A REFUND BY NOW.

He's the senior partner. He has the authority to knock a little off the fee. He didn't. I'm annoyed.

Oh...wait...I'm sorry. We were talking about you, weren't we?

24. GEEZ, that would ROYALLY piss me off.
:grr:

Yeah, actually I did figure the stuff sometime in February because we want to know what we're in for. So I do it in pencil, early and today I just have to sort of double check my calculations, put it in ink and get the cashier's check to send to Unka Sugah for bush's wars and new weapons to kill brown-skinned people.

I got it done now!

That really sucks about your CPA. He suckity suck sucks.

16. He would do it in a heartbeat.
But I think Mr. Bouncy's place of employment, in Dallas, would require less gas to get to than sundog's place of employment, in NEW FREAKING MEXICO.

You silly girl.

22. Care to say how much you are in for?
Mine's a touch over $300 and hey, because US bonds did so poorly last year, our daughter doesn't even owe money on her college fund!

That's both a good and a bad thing. Overall a bad thing, because it means her treasury bonds are tanking.

:-(

The highest we have ever had to pay was a little over two grand. Some weird thing happened that year or something we cashed out early, can't remember and I'm sure I've blocked it out. It was PAINFUL.

26. I'm in for about $400. I had a better year than I expected, so
I'm not going to complain (though writing a $400 check always hurts, regardless).

25. And I even figured it all in February.
Today I was just putting it in ink and doing some finalizations and double checking.

If we owe, I don't mail it until today.

And we've owed since about 2000.
