Just saw the movie "Saved!" last night.
Hilarious shot at the evangelists. Brings up a few pretty damn good points. Pretty much every scene in the movie takes some subtle shot at them. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a taste for satire.

21. It is in her genes - probably from her Mom......

That's Susan Sarandon's daughter and Susan has held up quite nicely for being 50+ years old!

4. I liked it enough to buy it.
My parents, thankfully, thought it was great, too.

I really lucked out in the parent department.

7. Takes a stab at them?
Really? How so? My wife is very evangelical Christian; should I watch this at home or not?

8. does she have the kind of sense of humor
where she can laugh at herself? if yes, then i say watch it with her, if no, then there is a possibility that she might be offended.

i'm not evangelical, but i think the fun that it pokes at born agains is very intelligent and not scathing. it's not mean but it is confrontational.

the movie is a face off between adolescent sexuality and christain morality. i recommend it.

11. I'd avoid it if I were you unless she has a great sense of humor
If she can't take being poked fun at, you'd do best to steer clear.

14. She has a sense of humor. As long as it's not a scathing attack, I'm
sure she won't mind it.

15. It mostly skewers the hypocricy and intolerance
of a particular set of evangelicals ... I know that Don Wildmon and the 700 club and those types were put off by it (it also takes on commercialized religion), but I certainly don't think all evangelicals would be, particularly if they have a sense of humor and are not of the intolerant wing ...

17. Pretty funny movie
I read in an interview with the director, not sure where, that they cut back some of the jokes from the original script. I definitely got the impression that there was more they could have done but considering how poor the comedy genre is currently I definitely enjoyed this film in bits and pieces, not as a whole.
