63. My 3rd grade teacher
Miss Peggy Coy.

I was absolutely devastated when she took off in the middle of the year to get married. I never ever recovered from that. She was a goddess and then she fell from grace.

1942. Oh how fleet my feet were after that movie as I ran home in the darkest of dark and on under the railroad trestles where the cat was to pounce on me and on through the forest to the safety of home? 'TOTAL FEAR'.

Oh how I loved that woman! I was quite young at the time.

18. Hmmm...
Edited on Thu Apr-14-05 08:19 AM by Squeech
My parents say I was heavy into Dinah Shore as a youngster, but what I remember is: Loretta Young swooping down the stairway to introduce her eponymous TV show, and the sexiness of Carol Channing's voice in just about anything she did, but chiefly "Archy and Mehitabel."

Later I was into Diana Rigg and Grace Slick. Now I think I'd walk on a bed of hot coals for Susan Sarandon.

On edit: I should mention that I think older women rock, or at least have the potential to do so. Mrs. Squeech has 6 1/2 years on me.

20. Emma Peel
Or rather Dame Diana Rigg playing Mrs. Peel in 'The Avengers' - at least that's the earliest I can remember. I was watching reruns - I'm far too young to have been there first time around.

Despite being an avid fan of 'The Dukes of Hazzard' I never really noticed Daisy - being 99+% gay I was more interested in Bo and Luke (still am).

33. Tina Turner
I was at the age when puberty was starting to take hold when Tommy was released. Those quivering thighs projected on a huge screen made a huge impression.

In the same vein, sort of, I watched a really boring movie last night called "The Clearing" that starred Helen Mirrin. Being that I am no longer a spring chicken myself, she's looking like a pretty hot old broad to me.
