Today at noon: "Miracle of Morgan's Creek" on AMC
Many of you know that my grandfather was an actor named Eddie Bracken. Well, in just about an hour you can see what may be his finest film, on AMC. It's an hysterical comedy in which my grandfather plays a nerdy guy who finds himself in a situation that he didn't create and can't control. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, so I'll just say this: you will be shocked that this was made in the 40s.

"Miracle of Morgan's Creek" Was directed by Preston Sturges and also stars Betty Hutton and William Demarest (who is hilarious). If you watch, please come back and post your comments here!

2. Watched it again yesterday.
(don't know offhand which channel it was on)

Love that movie.

Without giving too much away, the 'jailbreak' makes me laugh just thinking about it.

He played his role to perfection.

Your grandpa made some wonderful contributions to entertainment. Do you know if it's on dvd? It's one of those old movies that can be enjoyed again and again.

3. Apparently it will be on DVD soon
My grandfather did an interview for it just before his death.
