1. Never heard of this day...
... is it like some sort of un-Valentines day. Or Valentine's day without the Christianity? Or maybeeee... it's for those who aren't ready to fully commit just yet... or who don't want to scare off their newfound love...

Please... tell me more. I'm afraid my guesses are WAY off base.

2. It's a holiday in October where you have to buy flowers and a
card for your loved one. I think Hallmark made it up. We didn't have it in Wisconsin, and then we moved here to Michigan and there it was. A lot of times it falls on Homecoming dance days for high schools. The description you had of Valentine's Day without the Christianity is pretty fitting. I think it's basically to boost card shop and flower shop sales. I thought it would be interesting to see how many people had never even heard of it....

That's one. :)

3. I bought my husband a card
He said that I shouldn't have wasted money on it for a made up holiday. He liked the card though.

6. hmmmm... so the flower shops must be the culprits then.
Funny how this is panning out to be a regional holiday as well.
