Belaire Pancakes delima.... what would you do?
I dig this place on little creek road.... the belaire pancake house....
MAN.... you can't get better pancakes and barbeque (pork or beef, shredded or pulled)
I have always known that they were kind of red necks and maybe conservatives... ya know.
I mean although it is across from the hilcrest family planning clinic (where abortions/DNCs as well as lesser out patient gynocological services are also performed) and occasionally I have been there when the protestors are eating there..... IT IS A PUBLIC PLACE so....

BUT a few sundays ago I went to eat there and I turned around and left..... when I pulled into the parking lot the anti-choice nuts and the terry shaivo nuts were all out in the parking lot praying and crying and the place had signs saying all kinds of anti-choice gibberish.... When I passed the place doing errands yesterday there were no signs.

The delima is I really want their pancakes..... do I give them up and eat at doughnut dinet OR eat there and make my political beliefs clear?
other options are welcome.....

1. Eat there wearing a Gore/Lieberman t-shirt...
...or a portrait of Che. Simmer until done.

One of the yahoos will crack, and when s/he does, ask the management to dispose of him/her.

2. Well ...
The anti-choice stuff could have been put up by the people who were there doing their protest whatevers. If the restaraunt took them down, I'd reason that they at least don't want to offend potential customers into not eating at their place.

I really don't care if the opinions of others differ from my own. That's America, and the ability to dissent from the guy next to you is important. AS long as they don't put the signs back up, and keep their beliefs to themselves, I say pancake 'n barbeque away. :)

5. Yep.
And I think we forget sometimes that not all who consider themselves Republicans are the whackjobs we see on TV/hear on radio. I've been guilty of that, myself.

I say continue to eat at the place as long as it doesn't go fanatical at you. In this day of Wal-Marts and massive chains, small businesses need all the help they can get.
