2. The Dew Drop Inn
is a nice bar/tavern located in Natrona Heights in the northeast corner of Allegheny County (county that Pittsburgh's located in. Good meatball sandwich, cold beer, and free cashews.

Highly recommend it.

3. biting my finger nails
was hoping for a call about a job on Friday -- no call... :sigh: maybe monday

I got a call wednesday -- out of the blue -- from a recruiter, sent him my resume, he called back on thursday with a few questions and said he was faxing my resume to the prospective employer -- was hoping to hear something friday -- so I'm biting my fingernails

might have a little side-project job for a friend of mine's website... waiting for more info on that

meanwhile -- weather is nice, housecleaning for me today, and my partner is going to start some yardwork

4. Dew Drop Inn inspired Buffet's song "Cheeseburger in Paradise."
Cheeseburger in paradise (paradise)
Medium rare with mustard ’be nice (paradise)
Heaven on earth with an onion slice (paradise)
I’m just a cheeseburger in paradise

I like mine with lettuce and tomato
Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes
Big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer
Well good God almighty which way do I steer
for my cheeseburger in paradise (paradise)
Makin’ the best of every virtue and vice (paradise)
Worth every damn bit of sacrifice (paradise)
To get a cheeseburger in paradise
To be a cheeseburger in paradise
I’m just a cheeseburger in paradise

Dew Drop Inn
June 23, 2001

Mobile, Alabama, is home not only to Jimmy Buffet but also to the Dew Drop Inn, the classic southern roadhouse that inspired Buffet's song "Cheeseburger in Paradise." Founded in 1924, the Dew Drop is Mobile's oldest restaurant, and it hasn't changed much since the 1920s. You'll still see mostly locals here, the tables will be adorned with flowers in Coca-Cola bottles, and the waitresses will call you "precious." But most of all, the food will be wonderful—cheeseburgers with or without toppings like sauerkraut or chili, fries, and Gulf Coast specialties such as po' boy sandwiches, shrimp, turnip greens, and rice.

Just dropped in to threadjack and say that Teena and I really enjoyed meeting you and your wife. What a pleasure it was to make such a lovely pitstop in Alabama! :hi: And thanks again for a delicious lunch and wonderful company.
