6. Those things were bricks!
I remember having it be quite a hike to the nearest video store. This was when they were owned by mom and pop, and not Blockbuster.

3. I can top that--
I used to have a top loading cassette deck! I bought it in 1974-- just after I bought my reel to reel tape recorder. (Man, I wish I still had that baby!)

11. My RCA actually still works
1978-79 or so. It's in the closet, but I tried it out last year when I moved (I'd hate to keep something that didn't work, after all), and it still keeps playing, though nothing recorded in EP or LP.

12. I do, I also remember my Hubby
bragging when we first married 20 years ago that he paid 700 bucks for the one he carried into our marriage. I thought right then this man needs an adjustment. He doesn't do dumb stuff like that any more.

14. We still have one that works!
It was the first one we ever had when I was a kid. It somehow made it's way to our house and is in my son's room. It's a VHS by the way.
