MId-life crisis song suggestions
Okay... I am going through my mid-life crisis, I am burning a CD with songs that reflect my path to 40.

Any suggestions?

2. Hate to break it to you, but 40 is way too early for a midlife crisis
You have about another 10 years to go. . . .

8. OK - here's one then
Brian Wilson
How Could We Still Be Dancin' (From the CD Gettin' in over my Head)

---------------------------------------------------

How could we still be dancin'
After all these years
How could we still be laughin'
After all those tears?

How could we still be friendly
After slammin' those doors
How could we still be livin'
After all those wars

Hey, everybody
Help to make this feelin' right
Oh, won't you help to make this feelin' right

How could we still be rockin'
After all those times
How could we still be rolling'
And still be makin' rhymes?

How could we still make music
After MTV
How could we still get things crankin'
And see what we can be

Hey, everybody
Help to make this feelin' right
Oh, won't you help to make this feelin' right

Dancin', dancin'
Dance the night away
Dance the night away
1:30 ... 2:30
Dancin' my love

How could we still be dancin'
After all these years
How could we still be laughin'
After all those tears
How could we tell the difference
Between right and wrong
Confusion reigned for so long
But now we found our song

9. Rufus Wainwright - Vibrate
My phone's on vibrate for you
Electroclash is karioke too
I try to dance Britney Spears
I guess I'm getting on in years

My phone's on vibrate for you
God knows what all these new drugs do
I guess to have no more fears
But still I always end up in tears

My phone's on vibrate for you
But still I never ever feel from you
Pinocchio's now a boy
Who wants to turn back into a toy

So call me
Call me in the morning
Call me in the night
So call me
Call me anytime you like

My phone's on vibrate for you
For you

13. John Lennon's
Edited on Fri Apr-08-05 03:50 PM by H2O Man
"Life Begins at 40"

(edit to add John's lyrics)

Life Begins at 40

I'd like to welcome you here to the Dakota
Country & Western Club
And in return for Miss Yoko Ono's wonderful
gift of a very strange ....
I'd like, this morning, to sing for you
a little ditty that occured to me
in the throes of my sleep.
It's called "Life Begins at Forty."

They say life begins at forty
Age is just a state of mind.
If all that's true
you know I've been dead for thirty-nine.

Well, I've tried to sweep the slate clean
with a new broom everyday.
If that don't work
I'll jerk around until my next birthday.

Yeah, life begins at forty
age is just a state of mind.
Well if all that's true
you know I've been dead for thirty-nine.

(from disc 4 of Lennon Anthology)
