Keep your Zomby Love! It's Friday Afternoon Retro Love!
Edited on Fri Apr-08-05 12:04 PM by RetroLounge
Forget about that Zomby Loving. The Retro Lounge is Open!

Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Martin Denny and Julie London are on the Jukebox!

We can bowl a few frames at the Retro Lanes.

Maybe shoot a few games of billiards too.

Smooth Martinis are being made at the wetbar.

5 parts Gin
1 part French (dry) Vermouth

Serve with a small cocktail olive, or twist lemon peel over drink.
The most popular of all cocktails - among seasoned drinkers. It is an acquired taste; and since it is all alcoholic, it is not to be taken lightly.
The proportion of gin to vermouth has risen steadily lately among aficionados. Some prefer an 8 to 1 proportion, and there are even serious advocates of 20 to 1. But 5 to 1 is plenty.
Use good gin.

Snacks are available in the Tiki Room.

Later, we can catch a flick at my home theatre.

Our friends will all be there. Won't you?

So come on in, help yourself to some goodies, and here's a little Retro Love for all you crazy Lounge Lizards!

I am definitely in love with your pictures, especially that first one.

7. Yep, I do.
We have some great vintage barware you might like - my husband started collecting it when he bought our first house. It had a fully finished basement with a wet bar.

I also collect kitchenware from the 40s, 50s, and 60s; I have a few old Frank Sinatra albums; game show memorabilia from the 50s and 60s, and some 50s and 60s furniture (like a great old display case and a 1964 Magnavox console stereo, and a 60s doctor's-waiting-room-style chair). And vintage menus. I love my vintage menus. I have several old ads to frame and display also.

In this picture, on the left, the booze decanter shown is from the mid 1950s. We have a set of eight matching highball glasses to go with it.

8. Nice!
We are redoing our kitchen now, back-dating it to the 50's original look it once had.

14. You crazy bastard.
Come over here and give me a hug and let's dance a bit, half-drunk. Who cares if those gimps aren't out on the dance floor yet? We got it all to ourselves, baby.
