My brother passed up the college alumni career fair
Arrgh! :banghead:

He's been in IT desktop support for years, and is getting laid off in May. His company lost the BIG account contract renewal bid. He interviewed with the new company, and he and his collegues saw the new pay scale (they'd take a cut of one-third) he said, "no, thanks, can't afford the pay cut."

I reminded him to sign up for the alumni career fair, I told him that he'll be in select company. He signed up, but he "forgot to go" (blew off) 'cause "he had too many irons in the fire."

Trying to help start a company, and hoping that a marketing job will come thru' (he knows the hiring director). I said that you gotta help the wife (she runs a beauty salon, but it's relatively new and just breaks even) and make money in the meantime.

What was he thinking? :silly: He and his wife still gotta eat and pay the mortgage (both Pisces for you astrology fans). The mortgage company wants the money, and not a story and tapdance.

end rant
