My brother's surgery went well - just got the call
for those who missed it - he was having a cardiac catheter ablation (where catheters are inserted into the heart to cauterize some areas where errant nerve signals were causing extreme atrial fibrillation) today. I just got a call that it went smoothly, and the doctors believe they have solved the problem. He was in there almost 8 hours. Thank you all for the good wishes.

5. I'm glad to hear that Dookus.
He's in our family's prayers. Healing energy to him and the family! Didn't I meet you at the party at DD's? I was the one with the kid and the hubby.

15. The backyard party in Southern California?
at Doug's place? About a year and a half ago - in the summer?

I'm glad it went well, but recovery is a bitch too. So good wishes/prayers/karma for a swift and healthy recovery for your brother. Keep us informed how he is doing Dookus. Khash.

26. His recovery should be very simple
he'll be out of the hospital tomorrow and back at work in a week. There's soreness and bruising at the site of the catheter insertions, but that's about it.

27. I am so glad to hear this and that he is doing so well!
I have been on 100 mg of Toprol and 100 mg of Tambocor for this same problem and my cardiologist has been suggesting this...but I've been holding out. Glad to hear all went so well. I'll keep him in my thoughts. Hugs, Laura

Eight hours! That's a long time to be under. Hard on the loved ones waiting. Hope he has a speedy and full recovery. :)
