What's for supper?
We're having crappie and bluegill filets, fried potatoes, hush puppies, slaw and cornbread-- and sweet tea to wash it all down with, of course.

:D

1. Maybe homemade...
taquitos (not frozen now) and guacamole with rice and slow cook refried beans and homemade salsa (not the Picante sauce from NYC).

3. Y'know, that's one of the really sad things
about being a veg*n. When someone asks me what's for dinner, I never get to respond with, "crappie."

12. Used food!
I'm going to see if I can't make soup out of what's left from a roast chicken I cooked a couple of days ago. My grandmother used to make a soup she called chicken paprikash - it was a creamy chicken and vegetable soup made with lots of paprika and sour cream, with some noodles in it too, if I remember correctly.

Both parents and most of the aunts and uncles have passed on, and sometimes I get nostalgic for the things I remember from childhood.

23. Oh, I am SO jealous! That sounds delicious.
I had to have soft foods. My husband picked up KFC on the way home from work - he and the kids had chicken, biscuits, cole slaw, and mashed potatoes. I had mashed potatoes and some applesauce.

Holy moly, this buffet had everything but the kitchen sink. I'm stuffed with rice, beef broccoli, grilled chicken, sweet & sour chicken, egg roll, barbecue spare ribs, lo mein noodles, sesame chicken, egg foo young, cheese potatoes, . . . .

I'm REALLY thirsty right now.

B-)
