Damn! Thats all you hear on the local TV stations.
After a funeral and unexplained mysteries concerning my Ma's money and jewelery, as well as crappy, cold weather(crappy & cold by my standards), its great to be back in SoCal.

BTW The Pope died, The Sox lost 2 of 3 from the Yanks and "Fever Pitch" starring Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore is opening soon in Boston.

11. Staged accidents seems to be the way things are going there now.
I had to keep my eye open for such things happening.
But the "Cedar Crest" restaurant is still open and seems to be an oasis in hell. I love that place, "soup to nuts", as they say back there. Best Cutlets I've ever had.

5. Debris was falling on cars the other day in the Ted Williams tunnel.
You'd think that after a 4000% cost overrun they'd have done right.

6. The debris falling was an "isolated incident"---When the tunnel
collapses completely and kills thousands it will also be called an "isolated incident"

The guy who founded Modern Continental was smart enough to die last fall before all of this fell on his head.(If you'll pardon the pun)

7. To be fair, though
The local coverage is taking the Pope thing from all angles--to include questioning passers by if they felt the Pope did all he could vis a vis the sex scandal issue, and asking about his views on women taking a greater role in the church. Ya gotta figure with the percentage of Catholics in the area, that story would get a good bit of play...
