I sit here waiting
Waiting for the contractor to show up. He was supposed to be here over an hour ago.

Sigh. I'm not leaving the house today, am I?

1. Sadly, no, you're probably not
I waited five hours for the cable guy last month (that's five hours PAST the "we'll be there between x and y" crap they gave me).

2. They did just call
so at least my afternoon is freed up. They'll only be about six hours late. :eyes: Considering they're travelling from above Seattle down to Portland to do this job, they'll be here. Today.

3. Wow - I'm sorry you have to hire people all the way from Seattle
You must have a hell of a job to do. :scared:

Good luck to you.

4. Actually, they're in Everett
and they built some stuff and shipped it down. Now they're coming down to fix it. It's good quality shit, but they left some stuff out and made one error.

I'd still use them again. It's just a bit of a hassle.

And it isn't as big of a job as replacing a storefront!

5. It's actually going amazingly smoothly
The glass replacement is the biggie at this point - they need to order that. But I have a great contractor, the landlord has been wonderful; everything is going as well as you can imagine, considering that jackass drove through the place.

Good luck with your work. :D
