and my punchline-in-a-second mind came up with,

"But your pope isn't."

The pope was a major geo-poelitical-Religious figure who affected over a billion people. His death is a BIG DEAL to a lot of people. The coverage isn't 24/7 like the weekend, CNN has almost returned to normal. if you want local weather, try http://www.weather.com

There are other things going on in the world other than 24 hours of this story. Every time I have passed CNN, MSNBC, etc. on the dial, it has been the Pope. While I appreciate the weather link, it was merely to illustrate my point. For those of us in the world not catholic, or not religious, this coverage is quite excessive.

The way the MSM are using this story is appalling. The same way *'s administration is using the Pope (and Terri Schiavo) to suck up to its fundamentalist base. Both instances are disgusting, and as an obvious supporter/mourner of the Pope you should be outraged.

That being said, I apologize if you were offended.
