A FReepers idea of a perfect world
To: EagleUSA
If the government was doing its job, the borders would be secure, North Korea would be a smouldering pile of rubble (vesus a non-smouldering pile of rubble), the Baath party would not be running Egypt and Syria, Arafat would have been dead 30 years ago, we wouldn't have had to go to Iraq a second time, Medicaid/Medicare recipients could not sue doctors or hospitals for anything short of gross negligence, our highways would be fixed, Randy Weaver's wife and son would still be alive, we would have more nuclear power generation to free up natural gas supplies and reduce air pollution, Yucca Mountain would have been opened ten years ago, the DCM would still be selling surplus M1-A rifles, the war on drugs would end (see the secured borders above...domestic reefer production is not the problem), sex criminals would be monitored or jailed for life, the CIA would actually gather information instead of undermining conservative chief executives, ethnic profiling would be employed at airports, air crews could arm themselves if they chose, kids could pray at school, and the income tax would be abolished because the federal government gets plenty of funding for everything it needs to be doing from existing exise taxes on alcohol, petroleum, grain, rubber products, tobacco, etc.

This list is by no means comprehensive.

1. So, if the government gets all the funding for everything it needs
from excise taxes, why exactly are we running the largest deficit in history?

8. The guy maybe doesn't realize MOST of the federal
budget goes to the Department of Defense. And a lot of that money is totally wasted, too.

Just take 5% from the DoD budget and you could FULLY FUND all public schools in the nation, PreK-12. Yeah. With money left OVER.

No small-government republicans, despite their lies to the contrary.
And kids can already fucking pray in school, so shut the fuck up about that already!!!

5. WHAT an idjit.
Though it is interesting to see a freeper concerned about air pollution (WTF?), um, how do I say this?

KIDS CAN ALREADY PRAY IN SCHOOL ASSHOLE!

There's no law stopping them. Seriously. That has got to be one of the biggest repuke misconceptions out there, right up with the one about Democrats wanting to take everyone's guns away.

Kids can pray in school. No teacher or administrator can stop them, as long as they are not disrupting class.

What schools CANNOT do is have teachers or administrators LEAD the kids in religious activities such as prayer.

Sheesh.

black people would be negroes again, slavery wouldnt have been abolished, everyone would be forced to pray only christian prayers, gays would be delegated to indoctrination camps, uppity women would be jailed , toxic waste would be redefined as a vegetable, only white christian men could own property, women couldnt vote, and execution would be the rule of law for anyone who doesnt comply .

13. North Korea a smouldering pile of rubble
and obviously there'd be NO repurcussions from THAT act. China wouldn't care. South Korea and Japan wouldn't feel any undue effects.
