Well, My Wife's Surgery Went OK

We won't know until the middle of next week if the growth is cancerous, but the surgeon said he doubts it. He said it didn't look suspicious, but more like an out of control polyp.

She's ok now, and plans to go back to work next Monday.

As long as the biopsy turns out the way we expect, we'll be OK!

It's a good sign that the doc thinks it's clean. Those docs see a lot of growths and can often tell if there's trouble or not.

If he was concerned, he probably would have said nothing at all. Wouldn't want to scare us, but would avoid raising false hopes. The fact that he said something made me think he's probably pretty confident.

18. Quick Update

She says she is going to work tomorrow. That's how good she feels. She told me that if she goes to work tomorrow, she gets to jump back in, then take two more days off, and hit Monday running.

If she doesn't, she says that after 6 days off, she might not want to go back at all. We only live 3 blocks from the school, so if she starts to feel too badly, she can be home in a few minutes.

But, she apparently feels pretty good today!
