Domino's Pizza To Charge A Delivery Fee
glad i don't order that shit :eyes:

<snip>

WASHINGTON -- The convenience of pizza at your door is soon going to cost you more.

The Washington Post reported Domino's Pizza stores will begin charging a $1 fee for every order starting next week. The president of Team Washington, which owns 59 area Domino's stores, said higher prices for gas, rent, insurance and food supplies are to blame.

David Carraway said they are not happy with the decision but it's the reality of what they're dealing with.

Some other competitors are already charging a fee.

Pizza Hut charges an average of 75 cents for delivery.

Papa John's -- the region's other large pizza delivery service -- said it does not charge a delivery fee but isn't ruling it out. A spokesman for Papa John's said if fuel prices continue to rise, they might consider it.

2. No shock. Now if they reduced their serviceable radius, then
I wouldn't be shocked either. Maybe annoyed a tad. O8)

So order from the Dominos that's farthest away from where you live! :evilgrin:

4. I stopped eating Dominos when I found out the owner was a rabid xtian
and major contributor to the anti-choice movement.

I also quit eating Pizza Hut when they hired Oxyrush as their spokes person back in 1993.

But then again, I'm not a big fan of pizza - but hey, they should be charging a delivery fee since gas is not free!

5. Who gets the money?
Does it go straight to the drivers? Their the ones having to fill the tanks of their own cars.

7. Dominoes has ALLWAYS charged a delivery fee...
Only they called it the 'pick up discount'. You get a discount for coming in and picking up your own... that's the delivery fee you didn't pay.
