I Start Flight Attendant Training On May 30.
WOOHOO! After a grueling 7.5 hour interview on February 5th including 2 one on one interviews and an extensive background check, they called me today to tell me that I passed everything and I start training on May 30. Coffee, tea, or me? hahahahaha I think I'll change my screen name to "Air Mattress". bwahahahahaha.

1. Which airline - if that is not too presumptuous to ask?

6. What lonely nights...............
you're an international person of mystery now, hob-nobbing with the rich and famous. Yeah, I guess it's not all that "mysterious", it's hard work actually and quite tiresome I imagine. Congrats though, it sounds like you're psyched about it. It makes a world of difference if you actually LIKE the job you go to each day.

7. It's definately not a job for the person who likes 9 to 5.
Yeah, I'm pretty psyched about it. I've wanted this for a long long time. :-) After years of being unemployed/underemployed finally some good news. :-)

9. back in the early l960s a friend also got hired as a stewardess by one of
the airlines. it was her DREAM JOB COME TRUE ... she went on to her training and then to her assignment--and the almost nightly parties that followed her job until (and shortly after her training) she fell asleep on the job during one of the flights because of a combination of partying, alcohol intake and cabin pressure. She was reported by one of the other stewardesses on the job and lost her dream job forever.

moral of the story: don't party prior to your scheduled flights and always take plenty of rest before you go on a flight.

Commercial aviation is my drug of choice.

If you make it to Little Rock, give me a buzz!

14. I'm so happy!
I've wanted to be a flight attendant forever now. Everytime I end up going to interviews, a new hiring freeze ensues. Another drawback is that I don't know if I could afford to live on a FA salary...

But every once in a while I keep trying :)

My dream is to fly long-distance and international routes (I am Italian, so the language thing helps).... maybe one day... *sigh*

Good luck at training... read up everywhere... ever been on flightattendants.org? Good info, help and support there...
