11. I'm not too concerned about it.

He wasn't spiritual leader or really a political leader of any renown. Monaco has a population of about 32,500 people. I wonder whether His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, will get as much attention as the Pope when he dies? Tibetan Buddhism has many fewer followers than Catholicism, but a great many more followers than did the Prince of Monaco.

12. A story, from many years ago (no, I don't have a link)...

...a student was caught smoking weed in the International University of Monaco.

Rainier flunked the ENTIRE GRADUATING CLASS to TEACH THEM A LESSON about SMOKING POT in Monaco.

I could give a rat's ass about the fact that he "brought glamor" to Monaco.

I could give LESS of a rat's ass about the fact that he was married to Grace Kelly.

And, like much of the world, I'm somewhat ashamed to say that I could give a rat's ass about the fact that he is now bringing glamor to heaven (or hell, depending on your perspective on his life).

The "loss" of Rainier created no ripples in the pond of my life.
