Cheapest DSL plan

I pay $26.95/month for SBC DSL. It's a solid, reliable 1.3meg/384k connection and came with a free modem and setup. However, my one year commitment is nearly up and of course they're now promoting a new customer only plan for $19.95 which they won't let me in on. The best they'll do, after a little haggling, is let me renew for another year at the same $26.95. Should I go for this or do you think I can do better? This is in California.

we really get screwed up here in the northeast. Cable modem is even more expensive.

Could you cancel and re-sign on at $19.95?

3. Yea you get screwed

I pay 49.95 for 1280/384.

If I moved 10 miles, it would be the same cost for 256/256 service.
