My Ceiling Has Water Spots
We had golfball size hail here yesterday and it rained all day today. The claims office tells me that we have been declared a catastrophe area.

Anybody want to bet what day the insurance adjuster will be here?

1. Where was this at?
That's horrible. I can't imagine what golf ball size hail sounds like when it's hitting your house. Was anyone hurt?

You might be surprised by your insurance adjuster. They might fly in special teams and get it done up quick. Sure hope so....

Take care.

2. Tulsa JOklahoma
Nobody hurt although my two small dogs were very frightened and hid in the corner under the coffeetable.

3. With hail that size, were there any tornados?
I live north of you in Kansas, so I know about hail and tornados.

I bet your dogs were freaked out. Even small hail makes alot of noise. Did you save any hail stones in your freezer?

4. I have a cupful of hailstones in the freezer
No tornadoes in the immediate vicinity. But the storm chasers were out in full force.

There are also several holes in the covers on the gutters and in the seat cushions outside under the pergola. There are also golfball size divits in the lawn.

Could have been worse I guess. My neighbor had two cars parked outside.

5. I had a bad ice storm
here in NC a couple of years ago. Trees on the house, holes in the roof, the works. Huge demand for adjusters but one got to me in 2 days. He was great. No quibbling about damage. I was very happy with their response.

Good Luck.

6. Thanks
I just dread the whole process and I hate the hassle of finding good repairmen.

9. I understand, be sure to
suggest any damage that MAY have occurred. You don't want to go back later. In my case, I asked about spoiled food and found it was covered. I also had water spots on the ceiling and asked "What if the insulation and the sheetrock need to be replaced?" And painting? The adjuster built all that in to the estimate. Address all possibilties and good luck.

8. LOL
I think the spots on the ceiling look kind of like the dog had an accident. Quite an accomplishment for a 15 pound neutered male Japanese Chin.
