Magazine articles for instance, or books. I take National Geographic and Smithsonian and read every single word of every issue. The letters to the editor are getting around to the November and December issues and I just look and say, hmmm, I don't remember that at all. Even at the time I was aware that I was having to read things twice to retain anything. Apparently, twice wasn't enough. I appreciate that I am far from the only one to be catastrophically effected by events of last November, but has anyone else had this experience, or do I have to start the Alzheimer's drugs? Heretofore (well, theretofore), my reading comprehension was total and my recall complete. I think I've got it back again-- wait, what was I saying?

unescapable and terrifying result??????

Try not to think about it -- I was in shock for about three months, even after the New Year.

3. well
A colossal amount of hope was built up months before the election, and to see it all dashed to bits in less than 24 hours was, I could safely say, a traumatic event for many, many people!

We've been sucked through a black hole and now reside on the other side of the looking glass, where things seem...darkly evil, somehow, like they still let people smoke indoors over here...

4. Stopped watching all the news here last October.
Even stopped checking in at DU till a few weeks after it was over.
Just too painful to watch so many good people be conned by the rich & powerful and the media machines they own.

What was odd, and still is, is that many friends and netizens that were all about how much control the media has over reality seemed to have little doubt that somehow an election had taken place and Kerry had not gotten enough votes to win. There is no doubt that while the motions were gone thru, the decision had been made long ago and all the media hype about a close election was simply to mask the fact that Kerry had
most likely won in a landslide but the more compliant puppet would be left at the ends of the strings.
