There's a furry purry pooper kitty on my lap
Kneading his paws on my arm and looking at me with love. Doesn't get any better than this!

1. cat love is the best!
One of my female rescues-- normally a sweet but stand-offish cat-- has begun staging love-fests in my lap, on the bed, greeting me when I come home, and so on. She does this low, throaty purr that you have to be close enough to hear. Hearing that brrrr is one of the best feelings ever!

3. My cat fell asleep a while ago with
her head resting in my cupped hand. I was thinking at the time what absolute trust that entails. It's amazing.

4. Yes, it is
When I got home from school today the power was off in my apartment complex for some reason. I decided to take advantage of it and took a long nap with the kitties. Simba (the furry purry pooper kitty in question) assumed his usual position lying ON my side. Nothing would move him and stop him from purring. Even if I coughed it wouldn't bother him. Kitties are so loving and trusting!

The furry purry pooper kitty himself:

And his brother Montana:

I need to take some new pictures of them.

9. EXCELLENT!
Montana has gravitas. Simba looks like one of the neighborhood cats that I take care of (he's sitting by the door right now, with that "hey, the food bowl could use a recharge" look. Beautiful kitties!

10. Fear Toxoplasma Gondii.
The term toxoplasmosis is used to describe symptomatic infection with the intracellular parasite, Toxoplasma gondii. Eighty to 90 percent of acute T. gondii infections in immunocompetent hosts are asymptomatic. When symptomatic infection occurs, the most common manifestation is bilateral, symmetrical, non-tender cervical adenopathy. Adenopathy may also be present elsewhere, including in intraabdominal and retroperitoneal locations.

Make sure you do not expose yourself to too much furry purry pooper kitty poopy or all sorts of horrible stuff can happen vis-a-vis reproductive health and the health of future offspring.

12. Make sure you keep young ones away from heavy cat exposure too...
...environmental plasmoids can affect young crawling kids too.

Enjoy your cat!
