Question for People who download songs

I should know this..being a MCSE ..but I don't.

Once in a while when I download a song, I find, when trying to play it, that it will start..play a small bit then start over..play a little bit..start over...etc..etc.

What causes that?

1. Fake files, put out there to frustrate people into stop d/l'ing songs.

Just like ones that have loud screeches in them and ones that are just essentially inflated blank files that have nothing on them.
