If doubledip hears about three new jobs reported in the Lounge in one day, he will start talking about how the economy is growing by leaps and bounds....


I don't actually have the papers yet, but I was offered a job today. I'll have to jump through some hoops yet, but I'll be a fulltime employee with benefits!!! It's less than what I was making before * was selected, but it's a real job with vacation and holidays and sick days and insurance and 401K and profit sharing!!!

I still haven't really gotten used to the idea yet... It's been three years since I've had any security - I've made enough with consulting jobs to get by and even build back my "buffer" after getting laid off.

But only if you had two other jobs at the same time in order to try to make ends meet....and then he'd say, "Only in America!" so I'll be sure not to tell him.
He's never worked a real job in his putrid life so he doesn't know what it feels like anyway. ;)
