I thought I'd post a more thoughtful version of my anti-Hummer threads on energy conservation. Instead I asked for suggestions on how we as individuals can conserve energy in our daily lives and thus turn our political ideals into action. Only it dropped off the first page of GD without a single post. Should I have stuck with the tried and true Soylent Green inspired proposal to turn Hummer drivers into a human fuel source?

people wondering what that meant (I don't recall any valid answer). I looked the movie up in Leonard Maltin's 1982 movie book, and it basically told me it was a lousy movie. Can you enlighten me about Soylent Green?

See the poll above I did as a joke about how to deal with Hummer drives. Converting them into a human fuel source was one of the options available.

quite awhile ago that the average DU has either repressed it or was wearing diapers when it was last "live."

The story line is pretty much: Big corporation solves world hunger problem, common guy finds out that they are doing the ultimate recycling "It's peeeeepul, Soylent Green is peeepul!!!" in typical agonized Heston speak.
