Poll question: Do you have cable or a satellite dish?
Just curious as I think once I move I won't bother with it. I'm not a TV person. If I have spare time, I either read or I'm online (or outdoors). I'm getting a computer that can burn DVDs though to have extra stuff around when the kids are at my place, but cable just isn't worth it for me.

8. Same here -
Out of over 100 channels, I have maybe three or four that I watch with any regularity.

10. read books, did stuff, stayed busy....
I haven't had TV for any length of time in about 15 years. I did have cable TV hooked up for about six months nearly 10 years ago, but disconnected it after catching myself channel surfing after midnight with nothing to watch but ancient sit-coms, infomercials, and the Psychic Friends Network. What a horribly wasted medium.

11. Well
It hasn't changed much -if I see one more info-mercial for "Hee-Haw" DVDs, I'm gonna throw a brick through my TV screen.

5. I have cable
But I don't watch it that much. Mainly sporting events and news shows. I probably could get rid of it and save some money.

On the hand, I am very interested in satellite radio. I'm radio junkie and I thinking about getting a subscription to a satellite radio company.

6. We have satellite.
We have DirecTV. We first got it back in '98 for GSN (I was recovering from a particular surgery, and my husband wanted to cheer me up while I had to lay around), and we stick with it because of the NFL Direct Ticket.

12. Satellitte
Cable is rare in the U.K., but quite a lot of us use a dish - unfortunately this means funding Rupert Murdoch's evil empire, but it does mean B.B.C. News24 and B.B.C. Parliament, along with some funny comedy channels (there's an hilarious one called the 'Fox News Channel' - a great spoof of dumb freepers, pure genius).

13. Digital terrestrial TV
DVB-T.

And cable, but I usually use the DVB-T - it is very easy to use the PC as TiVo for it.
