1. They write those little tidbits down on the folder to your medical file ..
so they can make it look like they remember you.

If you ask for a copy of your file, it doesn't show because they wrote it on the folder.

4. No... I told him about some potential properties of glyconutrients and
he said his brother was a diabetic... shooting insulin and all.... but this go around, he was telling me, since he has done his homework, and his brother has reduced his insulin requirements by 75%. It's about time I get as good as I give... it's about time I hear some positive feedback from simply giving people information that may change their lives in ways they didn't think possible.

I just found it interesting that he remembered that I was the person who pointed him in that direction, and not in a big way either.... curious.

6. Hey, well ...that sounds for real.
I'm always a little suspicious when the dentist remembers how many cats I have and all their little cat problems.

7. It's nice when they notice ya
I just went to the dentist yesterday too. He took two xrays and covered me with one of those lead xray repellent pads. Which made me wonder back to when I was a child with bad dentals and had to go to the traveling dentist wagon that came to town. I remember xray after xray. One film per tooth. So all those xrays. Did they radiate my head? Wonder if thats any extra reason why my teef and gums are efft up?

I couldn't quite get that clear.

10. Did you live in an area with well water?
I'm the first generation in my family not to need major dental work before 30 - like dentures. I'm also the first to grow up on municipal water rather than well water.

That fluoridation makes a difference.... Could that be it?

11. I had to go to the dentist today too. And he told me....
I have to have a molar extracted.

I figured as much. I don't like that. Extraction is set for tomorrow. :(

13. My dear spouse is a dentist--he remembers tons of things people
tell him. It is a natural extension of caring about people. People bring him homemade gifts, they talk to him about their life's problems, you'd be amazed. (And, rest assured, he only tells me things that are general in nature, and without names attached.) (I have heard of medical folk writing personal notes on folders tho...)
