I have had big, extended episodes of deja vu five times today.

one snippet of conversation with a co-worker that I swear we have had before.

another as I got out of the car and heard kids playing at a playground across the street. This was in a strange part of town. The specific shouts and the location of the playground, the particular swingset and the same kids I swear I'd seen before. Then my companion said something and it went away.

Another when I read a DU thread. I would swear it was the same as a thread from about 4 years ago.

Another when I looked over my daughter's shoulder to see what she was doing. She was doing somethingon the Neopets site, she said something and then I said something and she answered. I swear this precise sequence was identical to something we did about a year ago. In the interim, we moved the computer to a completely different part of the house.

Then as I left the room, my other daughter said something to me and then immediately yelled some witticism at the TV in response to the dialog of the show she was watching. This caught my ear, so I stopped on the step leading up out of the room and listened to the TV show, which I had heard before. It was some trivial re-run that I wouldn't have remembered had I ever seen it before, but again, the whole sequence was so . . . familiar.

Am I:

1. In the Twilight Zone?
2. About to die?
3. Paying for last night's all-nighter?
4. Imagining things?

5. The only times that I experienced deja vu

Was when I was around ten years old and we were stationed in the Azores. I often had feelings that I was doing something I had lived through before. At the time, I didn't even know that what I had was called deja vu. I have never had it since we came back to the States.

don't watch any Twilight Zone reruns before ya do. When I was a kid, my parents used to watch reruns of that creepy show. Some nights, they'd let me sit up and watch with 'em. Until I started having nightmares and that was the end of that. LOL

Is one of my favorites - but after all, I'm an adult now. I think that T.Z. was a little to intense for a little guy. I've never really been prone to nightmares, anyway. Other than those incidents when I was a kid. Go figure.

8. I had a strong Deja Vu last week

I mentioned it to my boss. I haven't had any significant deja vu moments in years. That's why this one lept to mind when I read this topic.
