Big time. I was remembering stuff that I was afraid of when I was a kid(as per another post) and I remember being terrified of a hideous witch that I would imagine poking her head just above the side of the bed and staring at me. I was so terrified that I wouldn't open my eyes and I would strain the muscles in my eye lids just to keep my eyes sealed. I was convinced she was there, every night. Horribly disfigured and evil looking. Apparently this is a for real phenomenon and was attributed to people having visions of demons. It is called "Old Hag" and that is exactly what I would see in my minds eye. I linked to a page about it and saw this:



I've still got chicken skin just thinking about it and that picture stirred up all those memories from childhood.:scared:

2. Don't worry, that's probably what is known as a "screen memory"...

... a false memory the mind creates to block out the trauma of an alien abduction.

4. That reminds me a quiz in OMNI magazine.

That I read when I was a kid to see if you had alien genes:

Over the summer you:

a)went to the beach

b)went to the mountains

c)went to your grandmother's farm

d)had long periods of time where you blacked out and that you cannot account for, you don't know where you were and neither do your family and friends.

That always cracked me up.

3. I've heard of the sleep hag!!

I never had a hag, but had big spiders and remembered my ceiling looking like it was filling with water and was going to burst. It all seemed very real, until I snapped out of it, amazed.

I think this explains most "nighttime alien abductions".
