My new job is yet to be named really.

8. I don't kiss boo-boos anymore and here's why

Many rings ago when I was teaching Headstart, I always kissed boo-boos. Kids would run to me with their little scratches, both real and imagined, and I would plant the much desired kiss.

Until the day came when a boo-boo was in a place that no adult should even think about kissing on a child.

The little fellow, with tears in his eyes, tells me he has a boo-boo and wants me to kiss it. I could tell he wasn't feeling very well. So I said, OK -it's what I do. Then he pulls out his penis.

Well, after I picked my jaw up off the carpet, I explained that he had a boo-boo that no amount of kissing would heal and he should never ever ask anyone to kiss a boo-boo on his penis.

When his mom got there I had him tell her what happened that day. I didn't want any misunderstandings to exist.

She laughed herself silly. She took him to the doctor, since the child was obviously in discomfort, and he had a kidney infection.

But that ended my boo-boo kissing for good...
