i have a quick question about in-ear monitors. first and foremost, these offer near complete ambient noise hearing protection, correct? secondly, the ability to plug into an ipod (or similar) compatability...is this possible? lastly, cost. is this cost prohibitive for the average consumer?
the reason that i ask is my occupation requires that i occasionally wear hearing protection for (sometimes) extended periods, i would like to be able to listen to music while protect my hearing. i am not a musician, so i know absolutely zero about this, and i want to steer away from wearing "cans" or a BUDS type hearing protection audio system.
i am googling, however alot of this talk/product description is done in language i do not understand. anyone care to break it down in layman's terms?
thanks in advance for reading!
