The West Wing's season finale is coming up in fifteen minutes.
It's hard to get excited about the show since Sorkin left, but the last few episodes have been pretty good.

My prediction: Santos wins the nomination and defeats Ruseell after Hoynes gives him his delegates, but then Barlet has a serious MS attack and Russell is sworn in as President.

1. It'll be a cliffhanger
It always is. :(

I can't wait to see what happens, though!

2. I agree with your first part
That's the only I can see Santos getting the nomination, which he clearly will.

The second part certaintly would be an interesting plot twist, but I don't see it happening.

4. It'd better be a good cliffhanger.
Santos is almost a guarantee for the nomination, IMO. After that, who knows?

5. I don't think this ep will go any further than who wins the nomination.
They have all next season to do the campaign, election and then the transition to the next presidency.

That's how I see it. It's still a coin-toss whether it'll be President Santos or President Vinick.

6. I won;t watch if it;'s Vinick
As much as I like Alan Alda...even a moderate Repub on the show is going to have to spout RW talking points more than it does now...I get enough of that already.

I did see an interview with Teri Polo where shbe hinted that she would be on next year as first lady
